Pauline Sturgill was hired in 2012 as the Authority’s Executive Director.  Sturgill has 30+ years of professional experience in rural community capacity building and leadership development. Sturgill holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science, from Marshall University, and is a graduate of the WVU Community Development Institute, the WV Higher Education Chancellor’s Institute, the Diversity Leadership Academy of West Virginia, the REAL Entrepreneurship Institute, Leadership Plenty, the Grantsmanship Center, the National Service Leadership Institute and was a WVU Community Fellow.

   

Ted Hatfield - Director of Operations

Ted Hatfield has worked for the WHA since 2012, as the Director of Operations/Capital Fund Coordinator.  Hatfield is a Certified Manager of Maintenance, having joined the WHA with 40 years’ of experience in the health care industry where he held various management positions, including President/CEO and Vice President of Support Services/Materials Management.  Hatfield has a Business Accounting Degree from Southern West Virginia Community College and a Baccalaureate Degree from West Virginia State University.

    Sherri Murphy - Finance Officer

Sherri Murphy was employed by the Williamson Housing Authority in 2012 as a Leasing Specialist, but quickly found her calling as the Authority’s Finance Officer.  Murphy’s primary responsibilities include payroll, accounts payables, and tenant accounts receivables.  Murphy has an Associate in Arts Degree from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and is working towards an accounting degree.

    Jamie Maynard - Occupancy and Leasing Specialist

Jamie Maynard has served as the Authority’s Leasing Specialist since 2014.  Maynard is a Certified Public Housing Manager, with specialized training in rent calculations, leasing regulations, and Fair Housing laws.  Maynard’s responsibilities include managing the Authority’s waiting list, housing eligible families, and ensuring that the Authority meets HUD’s many strict guidelines and regulations.  Maynard holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Education from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.

    Brittany Smith - Public Housing Specialist

Brittany Smith came to the WHA, as a graduate of Alice Lloyd College.  Smith hold a Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting and Business Management and is a Certified Public Housing Specialist.  Smith’s major responsibilities include annual recertification of income and family status, maintaining applicant and resident files, tracking EID and CSSR requirements, and coordinating community outreach efforts.
